Always use a lighter hook line than your main line. This
will prevent loss of the sinker if the hook should become snagged on some debris while it is rising to the surface when being
retrieved.
Your leader line should be about 18 inches long. shown in picture is a #18 treble hook
encased with Berkley's "Power Bait." This setup works best when fishing for trout.

Recomended rigging includes:
Bear Paw " Line Leader connectors."
No knots, no tangles, easily adjust bait up and down from
sinker.
Always tie a swivel clip to the end of your line, then
clip it to the eye hook at the top of the sinker
If you wish to bait fish at the same time you can add a hook to the swivel clip as shown.
